Choose your extensions with your lifestyle and time in mind. While synthetic extensions are more affordable, opting for human hair clip-in extensions will provide a much more natural look and require less maintenance

Make sure the hair extensions match your hair color perfectly. Any good salon can dye the extensions to match, as well as alter the texture to replicate that of your own.

Once you have matched the shade and texture, decide on your ideal length. Hair extensions are typically quite long but remember that once cut, it’s gone. Also, you may use multiple strips depending on the desired thickness.

Using a tail-comb, divide the hair into a horizontal part (from ear to ear). Snap the extensions to the back of the head just below the parting. Because the hair clips are quite stiff (to prevent slipping) you will need to use both hands to fasten them to the hair on your head. These may be slightly uncomfortable at first, but you will definitely get used to it. Repeat this step with a separate part when using multiple strips.

Smooth out the hair on the extensions and comb your own hair over the extensions and blend all the hair together.
